Anubhav Sinha’s Mulk starring Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu released last Friday and received rave reviews critics and audience alike. But its IMDb rating is shockingly low. Find out why…

Last Friday saw the release of three films, Irrfan Khan’s Karwaan, Anil Kapoor’s Fanney Khan and Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu’s Mulk. While Karwaan was an easy-breezy slice of life road trip entertainer, Fanney Khan was an emotional drama and Mulk, a hard-hitting courtroom drama inspired by a true story. Probably the most relevant film of our times. While Fanney Khan received mixed to negative reviews, Karwaan and Mulk were loved by critics.
The critical acclaim was seen in their box office numbers. Fanney Khan opened better than the two films but by Saturday, Mulk and Karwaan had taken over. And in fact, by the end of their first weekend, Mulk had turned out to be a winner over Karwaan and Fanney Khan. Be it critics reviews or audience response, Mulk was loved by one and all. But I was shocked to see its IMDb rating which is extremely low
