Nrityacharya from Vasai Mumbai made 3 world records in Bharatanatyam
2860 dancers Performed Anand Tandava with Damaru registered 3 World records in Bharatnatyam dance at Rock Beach in Pondicherry on Friday 5th May 2023. Artists from more than 11 countries like India, America, Germany, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, France, Dubai participated in this world record.
Dinesh Kumar, founder of Sangamam Global Academy, Dr. Chitra, professor of music department of Annamalai Vidyapith, organized the event, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangaswamy, Minister of Tourism K Laxminarayan, Director of Indira Gandhi National Art Center Mr. Gopal were present as chief guests.
In it, Mrs. Rohini Chavan Banerjee from Vasai participated in group dance and recorded 9 minutes of Anand Tandav with Damru and got her name in unique World Records, Limca Books of Records and Art Books of Records. In dance, she was honored with the title of Nritya Acharya by the Chief Minister. Now she says that they are moving towards the Guinness record. Even before this,she has included her name in the book of records of London in 2022. The purpose of this program was to promote Bharatanatyam dance at the global level.
Rohini did her schooling from Balak Vihar Vidyalaya, Kandivali and graduated from Thakur College.
She is trained dancer under The Guru Dr Shrimati Kishu Pal, Rohini runs her own Krishnakshi Bharanatyam Nritya Academy in Vasai Nalasopara, affiliated to Nritalika Institute since 2017
